Branding Your Organization
What is a Brand
Your brand isn't just a logo, brand name or product name. In fact, it isn't any one thing. Your brand is everything. It is the perception of your organization, your products and services in people’s minds. It’s how people think and feel about who you are as an organization and what you do.
Defining your brand is like a journey of self-discovery. It can be difficult, time-consuming and uncomfortable. It requires, at the very least, that you answer the questions below:
- What is your organization's mission?
- What are the benefits and features of your products or services?
- What do your customers and prospects already think of your organization?
- What qualities do you want them to associate with your organization?
What is Branding
Definition: The marketing practice of creating a name, symbol or design that identifies and differentiates a product from other products -Entrepreneur
The foundation of a brand is a logo. A logo identifies an organization or product via the use of a mark, flag, symbol or signature. A logo does not sell the organization directly nor rarely does it describe a business. Logos derive their meaning from the quality of the thing it symbolizes, not the other way around – logos are there to identity, not necessarily to explain. Your website, packaging and promotional materials should all integrate your logo and, therefore, communicate your brand.
Our graphic designer, Chris Roth has many years experience in assisting organizations in developing logos. He is ready to assist you also. One of his clients, Lord of Life Lutheran Church and Preschool, is shown below. Other examples of his work can also be viewed here.
What This Client Says About Our Team
When Lord of Life Lutheran Church and Preschool in Chesterfield, needed to fully update our website presence and create a new logo choosing Rau Imaging was a perfect fit for us! Their team worked hard to address all of our current and possible future website needs. And, the creative/design team was helpful and easy to work with through the entire design process of a brand new logo for our church and school. If you are in need of place that can handle simple site corrections, to a full overhaul of your website – I would strongly suggest Rau Imaging Inc. Rev. Mark Below, pastor Lord of Life Lutheran Church and Preschool

Logo Design The logo design process begins with Lord of Life responding to a series of questions about the mission, vision and focus of the organization. Those responses help guide our graphic designer in developing a visual representation of the organization's brand. The process includes a number of "prototypes" until a final logo emerges.
Website Design The logo is integrated into the design of the Lord of Life website, with Chris Roth designing the layout and Harold Rau providing the background code to complete the final presentation. Visit the Lord of Life Church and Preschool website.
Business Stationary Branding is carried through the business letterhead, envelope and business cards for the organization.
Social Media Integration The logo is also integrated into various social media platforms used by the congregation. Visit their facebook page.
