Meet the Artist
Harold Rau is an award winning and published visual artist with many years of experience photographing people, landscapes, flowers, architecture, and astronomical events. Over the years, his images have won numerous awards and have been published in books and periodicals as well as acquired by private collectors.
Harold's love of photography began at an early age when he received a camera as a gift. He was fascinated and forever hooked on this creative tool. Over the years his hobby grew into a business providing "stock images" to publishers. Then it diversified into all aspects of photography. Harold has continued to develop his photographic skills by taking classes and attending seminars/webinars conducted by other professional and master photographers world wide. Many of his images have been used in a variety of publications, won awards, and continue to be sold as photographic prints online, in galleries and at events.

This 72 page book guides readers to the 31 historic covered bridges in Parke County, Indiana. Included are names and locations of the bridges, history and interesting facts about each bridge, full-color photographs of each bridge and GPS coordinates to allow easy access to each of the bridges. Copies of the book are available online, at various retail outlets and from the author.

Barns, Bridges and Grist Mills
Barns, Bridges and Grist Mills is a visual journey back in time. It features photographs and descriptions of barns, covered bridges and grist mills in Kentucky, Tennessee, Virginia and West Virginia. In 2012 my brother in-law and I made two photographic safaris to Tennessee, Kentucky, Virginia and West Virginia. This book contains selected photographs taken during those travels and portrays a visual journey back in time.
